The Straight Talk Issue

 

It really is just the light green piece. When you hesitate over paying our bill rate versus hiring on your own, we know you are probably picturing adding something like the yellow section or at least the light blue one to your cost.  But the reality is a bit different!

 

Both of us have the same costs every time we hire a new employee. Our bill rate takes into account the fact that we are paying all of the mandated payroll taxes so you don't have to, as well as the overhead associated with recruiting and onboarding that new hire.

 

When you consider the part of the pie that is our net profit, remember that it can represent time you spend doing activities that bring net profit to your own office. If you leverage that free time well because you let us give it to you, it's fair to say you could actually come out ahead in this calculation. Plug in your own numbers and see. They are famous for not lying. 

 

   Why wouldn't you just find that same person yourself?

When you hear us bragging about our candidates, you might privately be thinking, "I could find the same person with my job post," and sometimes of course you would. But it's important to remember that he would come to you looking like the guy on the left.  The key to using our services properly is recognizing that if we refer that candidate, he comes to you 95% ready to match and start in your opening. You both  simply need to judge the culture fit.

  • tests to confirm that the skills needed in your job are legitimate
  • reference checks and consent forms on file

  • pay and benefit requirements that match what you offer.

What if you were less than impressed? We hope that is one of the specific reasons you might choose to fill an opening on a temp-to-hire basis. People are not products, and no matter what the skill set or work history, any new hire brings with it the potential for an unexpected life event or just a less-than-ideal fit with the culture when the honeymoon wears off.
