About Personnel Partners

Our History

Owner Joan RhoadePersonnel Partners is a locally-owned staffing service founded in 1993.  Businesses throughout Elkhart and St. Joseph counties rely on Personnel Partners as a primary and supplemental supplier of employees for a variety of hourly positions, with an emphasis on office/administrative placement.  Owners Joan and Randy Rhoade brought many years of industry and financial experience to the company and are actively involved in its operation.

We are members of the American Staffing Association, as well as local chambers of commerce and professional human resources chapters.  Personnel Partners has been awarded the Woman-Owned Business Enterprise minority supplier designation from the Indiana Department of Administration.

Awards and Recognition

As we reach our 14th anniversary, one of our proudest accomplishments is the retention of key staff and our identity during that time.  Other highlights included awards such as the Small Business of the Month; the Fairbanks Award for the beautification of the city of Elkhart upon renovating an existing office building; the involvement of our staff in community activities ranging from Habitat for Humanity to Lunch Buddies (Big Brothers/Big Sisters) to Board members for SHRM, the American Red Cross,  and WorkOne.  Each staff member who hires employees holds a CSP (Certified Staffing Professional) designation, achieved through employment law accreditation.

Facts about the Staffing Industry

  • The staffing industry generates some $70 billion in revenue and employs an average of 2.6 million works per day.  In the U.S. alone, there are about 7,000 firms operating some 21,400 offices.  Ninety percent of companies have used a staffing service at one time or another.

  • Temporary assignments may last from several hours to several years; with the average length of assignment running between three and five months.  However, temporary work is a bridge to permanent employment, as employees showcase their skills to employers who consider them for full-time positions.  Eight out of ten customers say that staffing companies offer a good way to find people who can become permanent employees.

  • Nine out of 10 business customers say that staffing companies offer flexibility to their firms so they can keep fully staffed during busy times.   Business customers also rely on staffing firms to provide access to talented workers in the full range of occupations.  Three quarters of business customers say the quality of employees recruited from staffing firms is the same as or better than the quality of their regular employees.

  • Temporary employees never pay a fee for staffing services, and receive competitive wages and benefits.  More and more people and companies are looking for the flexibility that temporary or temporary-to-hire employment arrangements provide.

  • The fastest-growing segment of the staffing industry is in temporary professional and technical help.

Detailed quarterly figures about the staffing industry are updated regularly and are available in the "staffstats" section of the American Staffing Association web site www.americanstaffing.net.
